AAHA - STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
posted: Mar. 17, 2017.
Founded in 1933, AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association, an organization which upholds the most rigorous published standards in the industry. Inspection and accreditation is required by any human hospital that accepts medicare or medicaid, but is completely voluntary in the veterinary profession. Only about 12 to 15% of all veterinary facilities become accredited members of AAHA.
Accreditation means that we have been evaluated on 900 standards such as patient care, pain management, the thoroughness and completeness of our records, sterilization and sanitation techniques, in house diagnostic capability and hundreds of other important areas. Being a member of AAHA means that we are inspected and evaluated every three years to make sure we are practicing with the highest possible standards. It means that we are among the top 15% of all hospitals in the United States and Canada. It means that we are going the extra mile to ensure that your pets get the best and most up to date care possible. It means your pets are our passion and keeping them healthy is our number one priority.
Choosing a veterinary facility that is an accredited member of AAHA is a great way of finding the best vet for your pet. We love what we do and we love doing it in the best way that we can.
